The FAWAG DS-2 scale is a simple, practical, and self-contained checkweigher. It's suitable for various-sized retail and industrial facilities, warehouses, restaurants, markets, and stock exchanges. Its compact size allows for easy operation at the workstation. RS-232 and USB interfaces enable communication with a cash register or computer.

If the legalization or security features have been tampered with, the device must be re-verified before further use. Please note that the user is responsible for periodically verifying the scale and maintaining the legalization features in proper condition.
Each verified scale must have the following information on the nameplate:
- device model and serial number,
- approval number (type approval number),
- metrological parameters (load, division, tare value, etc.),
- CE mark with the letter M,
- notified body number,
- next to the CE mark and the letter M, the last two digits of the year of conformity assessment,
- operating temperature if other than -10ºC to 40ºC,
- class symbol (e.g. III),
- information about the manufacturer.
