The FAWAG WS-1 scale is a modern and versatile checkweigher designed for retail and industrial facilities, warehouses, restaurants, markets, and stock exchanges. It features a large stainless steel weighing pan, allowing for easy weighing of unusual or large items. Its low platform allows for comfortable work at the workstation. Standard RS-232 and USB interfaces allow for seamless communication with a cash register, computer, or mobile device.

Each verified scale must have the following information on the nameplate:
- device model and serial number,
- approval number (type approval number),
- metrological parameters (load, division, tare value, etc.),
- CE mark with the letter M,
- notified body number,
- next to the CE mark and the letter M, the last two digits of the year of conformity assessment,
- operating temperature if other than -10ºC to 40ºC,
- class symbol (e.g. III),
- information about the manufacturer.
