Novitus INFIS
Novitus INFIS is a specialized fiscal printer intended for vending machines and self-service devices.
It does not have a printing mechanism – the receipt is presented on an external, hermetic customer display for 30 seconds, in accordance with applicable regulations.
The device supports e-Receipts (Novitus protocol and HUB MF), enables data transfer in the JWS (JSON) format and offers wide integration possibilities thanks to extensive communication ports and optional WiFi, GSM or Bluetooth modules.
Novitus POINT
Novitus INFIS – fiscal printer for vending machines
Novitus INFIS This specialized fiscal printer was designed for integration with vending machines. The device was designed to seamlessly integrate with various types of vending systems, including those selling beverages and snacks, as well as those offering self-service services.
This solution is aimed at vending machine manufacturers and their operators who need fiscalization that complies with regulations, but without the use of a classic printing mechanism. Novitus INFIS allows you to fulfill tax obligations in a modern way, adapted to the specifics of automatic sales.

The construction and principle of operation of the INFIS printer is based in particular on the following provisions of the Regulation of the Minister of Development, Labor and Technology of September 12, 2021, on technical requirements for cash registers (Journal of Laws, item 1759) in the following provisions:
- § 4. 2 – fiscal printer – a cash register controlled by a communication interface using an application program, which instead of a product database contains a verification algorithm.
- § 5.1.2.f – a special-purpose cash register, placed in devices for automatic sale of goods and services, whose design and work program take into account specific applications.
- The device uses the amendment to the above-mentioned Regulation introduced by the Regulation of the Minister of Development and Technology of March 2, 2023 (Journal of Laws, item 491) amending the regulation on technical requirements for cash registers:
- § 52. 1. The cash register referred to in § 5 section 1 point 2 letter f, may not include a printer cash register.
- § 52. 3. Cashier does not issue fiscal receipts and canceled fiscal receipts in paper form and shows the following data on the display for the buyer for at least 30 seconds or until the next sale starts: unique number, taxpayer's tax identification number (NIP), date of sale, receipt number, total gross sales value, total tax due, type of payment method, name of the payment method
- Article 111 paragraph 3a point 1 letter b of the Act on Tax on Goods and Services (VAT Act) – in addition to displaying the receipt data on the customer's display the receipt can be sent to the buyer in electronic form

Novitus INFIS fiscal printer It was designed as a system consisting of two cooperating modules. The first element is the sealed fiscal housing, which houses key components of the device, such as the motherboard, fiscal memory, and protected memory. This part is responsible for the accuracy and security of recorded sales data.
The second element of the set is the external customer display. It is housed in a hermetic housing, allowing for safe installation outside the point-of-sale device. Thanks to this solution, INFIS can work in machines installed in public spaces, maintaining durability and resistance to external conditions.

Communication connectors
Novitus INFIS It is equipped with a wide range of communication ports, enabling integration with vending machines and control systems. The device includes a power socket, RS 485 and RS 232 ports, and a USB Type-A port operating in Host/Device mode. Additionally, a separate USB Type-A Host port is available for connecting a service display.
The printer also offers two Ethernet (LAN) ports, one of which is dedicated to the customer display. Importantly, the device will not start without a connected customer display – the system blocks sales, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
INFIS is also equipped with a universal input and output module connector, which increases integration capabilities with machines from various manufacturers. Optional Wi-Fi, GSM, or Bluetooth communication modules can be connected to the USB ports, allowing the device to be adapted to the selected network infrastructure and data transfer method.

Novitus INFIS It is designed to handle e-Receipts in two communication models. The device works with both commercial market solutions based on the Novitus protocol and with the Ministry of Finance's system via the Receipt Hub and the e-Receipts app. This allows the machine operator to choose the integration method best suited to their sales system.
The printer allows receipts to be transmitted in the mandatory JWS (JSON) format, compliant with current requirements. Furthermore, INFIS also allows for the generation of full receipt visualizations and non-fiscal printouts, enriched with graphic elements, marketing content, and appropriate text formatting. This allows vending machine manufacturers and operators not only to comply with regulations but also to use receipts as a customer communication tool.
Goods and services sales systems can communicate with the INFIS printer via Ethernet, RS232 or USB using built-in communication protocols:
- Novitus
- Novitus Conforms
- XML
- NoviApi
- STX printer protocol (ELZAB fiscal printer protocol)
INFIS does not have its own printer, but can be integrated with an external, non-fiscal printer, e.g. NPOS for printing e.g. an order number or kitchen printout, etc.
