High-power universal computer terminal designed for use at the point of sale, warehouse and production line.
The metal casing ensures the terminal's resistance to wear and tear and accidental damage during operation. Compliance with the VESA standard allows for various types of installation using a wide range of mounting accessories available on the market. (e.g. Modular Assembly System).
An efficient processor and increased RAM allow the terminal to be used as an effective server for local database environments.
ABLE TO WORK CONTINUOUSLY IN DIFFICULT CONDITIONS
The components used in the terminal are selected for continuous operation. The LCD panel is manufactured to industrial standards, with particular emphasis on durability, resistance to overheating, and mechanical strength.
The screen's working area is a single glass pane that effectively protects the front of the device from spills. The casing also prevents liquids and dirt from penetrating sensitive areas of the device. The capacitive touchscreen resists wear and tear and responds effectively to touch in dirty environments.
The passive cooling system does not introduce environmental pollutants into the housing, so the 15I5-A terminal can also operate effectively in dusty environments.
COMFORT AND ERGONOMICS
The high-sensitivity touchscreen can be operated with non-metallic gloves up to 0.8 mm thick. Thanks to this functionality, the terminal will also respond correctly to touch when wearing double surgical gloves. In tests conducted by Posnet, the screen also correctly detected touch through latex-coated textile work gloves*
The bright display with anti-reflective coating ensures good image visibility in various lighting conditions.
* Tests were carried out using Firecrest Ligth gloves compliant with Class I protection category (EN420).
CLASSIC IMAGE PROPORTIONS
A 4:3 aspect ratio screen is a common standard in point-of-sale systems and industrial applications. Some software has not yet been properly adapted (rescaled) to widescreen displays, so implementing the 15I5-A terminal reduces the risk of potential implementation problems with IT systems, especially those with a long history.
HIGH COMPUTING POWER WITH PASSIVE COOLING
The 15I5-A terminal is equipped with an eighth-generation Intel Core i5-8365U processor built on a 14nm architecture. The processor offers a very high power-to-heat ratio, allowing the terminal to operate stably using a passive cooling system.
Compared to other popular passively cooled processors on the market, the Core i5-8365U outclasses most of them in terms of processing power.*
