Online cash registers – since when are they mandatory?
As mentioned, online fiscal devices are being introduced gradually. As of August 31, 2019, it is no longer possible to purchase a cash register with a paper copy record, and From January 1, 2023, only online models will remain on sale. However, as stipulated by lawmakers, some industries will have their cash registers replaced earlier. Who should use the new devices from January 2020, and who from July 2020? Online cash registers – who is required? Deadlines
Depending on the type of business, the date of introduction of the new cash register may vary. In accordance with applicable law, the obligation to have an online cash register applies to:
· from January 1, 2020. – companies selling motor gasoline, diesel fuel and gas, as well as companies providing repair services for motor vehicles and mopeds,
· from January 1, 2021. – companies providing catering services in stationary catering establishments (including those operating seasonally and offering takeaway meals) and short-term accommodation services, as well as entities selling e.g. coal and briquettes,
· from July 1, 2021. – entrepreneurs providing services: hairdressing, cosmetics, cosmetology, construction, legal, medical care (doctors and dentists) and related to activities aimed at improving physical condition, but only in the scope of admission.
